Does an economic “recovery” that is moving at a snail’s pace make you feel optimistic that the worst is over? Does a devalued U.S. credit rating and the U.S. Government shutdown make you feel good about the direction our country is headed? Toss in the trade deficit and national debt, and I think you see the point.
Wall Street Isn’t the Answer. Investing in paper has proven to be a risky proposition. Recently, retirement accounts plunged in value. Corrupt companies too big to fail have required bailouts. Automated trading has caused huge downward spirals in investment worth. And, Wall Street speculation seems tied to every daily whim or “sky is falling” prediction. Wall Street gives you little control over your investment dollars. Many people who are asking today, “Why take the risk for little or no rewards?” are looking to Self-Directed IRAs for alternative strategies for their investment dollars.
If you are concerned about the future of gold, take a look at its history. Future growth will be seen in gold in the long term. A Self-Directed IRA is a good way to take advantage of gold investments. In the final analysis, the intrinsic value of gold as the basis for real value will never change. History doesn’t’t lie, and history does repeat itself.
